Kilo Kish – digital emotional

Kilo Kish by David Black

Kilo Kish – the visionary project of musician, artist, and designer Lakisha Robinson – shares another single from her forthcoming EP Negotiations out May 16 on Independent Co.

Negotiations

“digital emotional” is a glitchy-pop soaked commentary that touches on the idea of changing oneself to fit in and the nature of dating and intimacy through technology.

The track comes with an anxiety-filled visual that continues to play into the office character worker portrayed in the latest single, “Reprogram.”

The video, co-directed by Kish and David Laven and produced by Even/Odd, is part of a suite of films that accompanies the Negotiations EP, all filmed in the same space and world.

Kish says of the video: “A lot of my visual work includes food in place of conversation and this is no different. I think it serves as a metaphor for the industry and what it can feel like at times for artists, but more broadly, giving, and the sense of feeling like ’the other’, unheard and unseen. Everyone has felt that in some sense, or felt a lack of control or autonomy in matters that feel very close and intimate to you.”
