Ezra Furman – Goodbye Small Head

Renowned multi-disciplinary artist Ezra Furman marks a landmark in her career with the announcement of her 10th studio album Goodbye Small Head due out May 16 via Bella Union.

Written during a maelstrom of overwhelm, the album title is a nuanced homage to the 1999 Sleater-Kinney single “Get Up”. To accompany today’s announcement Furman has shared the cinematic string-laden first single “Grand Mal” together with a video in which she stars, directed by Eleanor Petry.
Over the course of her illustrious career, Furman has scored Netflix’s Sex Education, authored Lou Reed: Transformer for the 33 ⅓ series, became a mother and most recently collaborated with Sharon Van Etten to cover Sinead O’Connor’s “Feel So Different” for the TRANSA benefit compilation by the not for profit organization Red Hot – just to name a few.
