YNDLING – It’s Almost Like You’re Here

Primed to make a mark in 2025, acclaimed Norwegian dream pop artist Yndling releases a spellbinding new single entitled “It’s Almost Like You’re Here” out now via Spirit Goth.
The track’s cloudy synths dissolve into the hum of shoegaze-style guitar. Gasping for air, Yndling wrestles with the impending dissolution of a relationship in the track. She adds, “’It’s Almost Like You’re Here’ is a song about being on the edge of a relationship with someone where you feel like things could be really great, but the one you’re dating is too scared to take the leap and give it a shot. So, it’s a song written out of frustration in some sense. It’s kind of like, ‘Why are you making this so complicated?’ I guess it’s an almost universal experience for everyone who has ever found themself in a situationship. From the outside, there is no reason for all the uncertainty, but for some reason—maybe fear of getting too close or losing them after a bit—it’s so difficult to take the leap and lean into love.”
During 2021, Yndling materialized out of Norway with an inimitable and immersive musical vision of her own. Since her emergence, she has architected a living and breathing sonic space anchored by the likes of Yndling [2022] and Mood Booster [2024].
Next up, Yndling will embark on a series of tour dates across North America, UK, and Europe. Following a gig in London at The Waiting Room tonight, she touches down stateside for the New Colossus Festival in New York on March 8 and SXSW in Austin, TX on March 14.
