Cornelia Murr – Skylight

London-born, NY-based singer-songwriter Cornelia Murr returns today with the new single “Skylight,” the latest taste of her forthcoming album Run To The Center due February 28 on 22TWENTY.

The album, produced by Luke Temple (Adrienne Lenker, Hand Habits), finds Murr delivering her most confident, expansive work yet.

“Skylight,”a dreamlike gem of a single, punctuated by staccato synths and an earworm hook, is accompanied by a video directed by Laura-Lynn Petrick. Of the single, Murr shares, “‘Skylight’ is about waking up out of the doldrums thanks to chance encounters that remind you life can change and look so many different ways, as if looking through windows into other timelines. Director Laura-Lynn Petrick and I approached the video much the same way. We just played with the environment we had, which happened to be the Hudson Valley in summertime, and caught whatever good happenstance we could find. It amounted to trains, bridges, and truck rides among other scenes that suited the sense of movement the song is all about.”

Murr has also just announced a North American tour supporting Papooz this Spring.
