Sarah Kinsley – Knights

Sarah Kinsley

New York-based breakout artist Sarah Kinsley unveils the official video for her new single, “Knights.”

“‘Knights’ is a ballad that explodes with anger, force, and inexplicable emotion,” Kinsley details, “It is a song geared towards the dangers of chivalry; it is the power of the feminine striking through song. We are raising a glass to the nights we wish to forget, and the young girls within that we inevitably reach back for…”

The song is from her debut album, Escaper, which was just released via Verve Forecast/Decca to great fanfare.

Kinsley collaborated with and co-produced the album alongside Grammy-award winning producer John Congleton (Angel Olsen, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten). “One realization you have eventually as an insular, more introspective person is that there’s a world outside of yourself waiting for you to look into it. I had made every single EP from scratch, in the sweetness of my apartment… This record was meant to be grand and unstoppable,” she details.

Kinsley is gearing up to embark on a headline tour across North America, the U.K. and Europe in support of the new music, kicking off September 15 and including stops at New York City’s Webster Hall, two sold out evenings at Los Angeles’ Troubadour and more.
