Piper Connolly – Kiss Like Me
Piper Connolly, thirteen-year-old pop-punk songwriter and performer, has unveiled her latest single, “kiss like me,” a vibrant pop-punk anthem about being into someone who is into someone else. Her heartfelt lyrics and energetic sound capture the raw emotions of teenage love and longing.
In “kiss like me,” Piper Connolly explores the challenge of convincing someone they would be the better choice. “Totally a ‘the grass is greener on THIS side’ song,” Connolly reveals. The track delves into the notion that while someone may appear perfect and possess all the right qualities, they still fall short compared to her, through its catchy lyrics and hooky guitars. She sings, “He might hold your hand and stand by you, worship every little thing you do, you’ll talk, he will listen, patient till you kiss him, you’re mine, I’m on a mission, kiss me, you’ll never miss him.” The track presents a relatable message of unrequited love. The Avril Lavigne-esque track features upbeat, in-your-face lyrics fused with rock instrumentals. Producer Marvin Fockens collaborated with Connolly to create this spunky, resonant song, inspiring listeners to jump around and sing along.
