La Doña – Confesiones
Musician and social activist La Doña shares her new single “Confesiones.”
This latest offering follows “Mejor Que Matarte,” the first glimpse of the Bay Area artist’s forthcoming debut album, Los Altos de la Soledad due September 6th via Empire.
The new single features bright acoustic production highlighting La Doña’s powerful vocals from her upbringing singing regional Mexican corridos and a full live banda. Speaking about the new single La Doña shares, “Confesiones shares all of my deepest secrets and fears while also laying bare the truth of my background as a Chicana woman playing banda music with her family. I spent the first 20 years of my life singing rancheras and corridos so it feels empowering to be able to finally integrate that part of my life with my identity as La Doña.”
Following the release of the album La Doña will be heading on a Fall North American tour beginning in Chicago September 7th at Taste of Chicago Festival and then continuing on in October with stops in Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Austin and more.
