Minke – Favorite Part

Today queer London-born artist Minke releases her latest single, “Favorite Part”, a pulsing, emotionally charged pop anthem about finding the courage to break down barriers in hopes of finding vulnerability.

Layered vocals float over a background of low-pitched, echoing bass and smooth synth-pop stylings that set the tone for Minke’s introspection. Steeped in reverence, the track keeps in time with Minke’s sentiment of facing her fears despite all odds.

After the success of her debut The Tearoom in 2019, Minke became a darling in the indie-pop scene. She garnered support from Zane Lowe and Billboard and sold-out headlining performances in LA, as well as support slots for major acts like Fletcher, X Ambassadors, and Kevin Garrett. Despite this success, though, life still happened and Minke found “the whole world screaming at me”. “Favorite Part” is a testament to Minke’s perseverance and struggle to find love and hope in the face of dire circumstances.
