Georgia Lines – Wayside

Aotearoa’s award-winning artist Georgia Lines has today returned with the powerful and astoundingly honest new single ‘Wayside’.

This is the third and final single to be released ahead of Georgia’s upcoming debut record THE ROSE OF JERICHO, out June 7, 2024.

A grand piano matched with a driving rhythm section opens up into an expansive chorus, with powerful vocals and stacked harmonies. Co-written with Grammy-nominated producer Leroy Clampitt (Justin Bieber, Madison Beer, Laufey), Georgia explains that “‘Wayside’ delves into the journey of facing obstacles and uncertainties, urging against complacency and not settling for the easy path. It’s a reminder to stay strong, keep fighting, and hold onto hope, even when things get tough.”

Today’s single gives one last final glimpse into the sonic and emotional landscape of what’s to come, from the full body of work out on June 7.

“I’ve poured a lot of myself into the songwriting of this album,” says Georgia. “It is honest and vulnerable, and dives into places in my own journey which I have written much of the album around. ‘Wayside’ is a significant piece of the larger puzzle, in many ways encapsulating the album’s overarching themes and emotions, giving anyone who listens a sincere glimpse into the journey that has shaped my music.”
