Clay – Think of You

Alt-pop artist CLAY (she/they) has released her new single and music video “Think of You,” out today. The cathartic breakup song speaks on the idea that love shared between two people should not be deemed wasted just because the relationship has come to an end. Rather, as we begin the process of letting go, we should rejoice in the experiences shared with those we hold closest to our hearts. The accompanying visual, directed by Kanya Iwana (Erick The Architect, Chlöe, Lucky Daye), takes inspiration from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet and conveys the innocence of falling in love as CLAY reminisces on memories of a previous love affair.
On “Think of You,” CLAY explains: “When you stay up until the wee hours of the morning and finally start to close your tear-filled eyes just as the sun begins to peek through the curtains, a soft smile finds your lips as you remember the love you shared. This song is a thank you. A psalm of our love.”
“Think of You” is the second single from CLAY’s highly anticipated EP Waiting for God in the Garden, out May 24th, and follows the release of the introspective title track which sees her coming to terms with the importance of tending to and loving yourself fully.
