Gloom Girl MFG – Crimes

Today, Nashville punk quartet Gloom Girl MFG released “Crimes,” the lead single of their upcoming EP, Polycrisis, produced by Brad Shultz of Cage The Elephant. Polycrisis will be released on May 3 via Sign From The Universe Entertainment.

Insinuating, inflammable and unstoppable, “Crimes” is filled with drilling guitar riffs, dazzled with instantly recognizable cowbells and grounded by confident drum and gnawing bass. As the lyrics declared, a destined Gloom Girl MFG takeover is “a crime that you can’t get away from.”
Regarding the new single, lead singer Paige MacKinnon stated: “‘Crimes’ is about someone who’s right in the middle of an emotional explosion. They’re fed up trying to play the game of love as they see it. And through that we’re speaking to a truth about how intertwined our human experiences in the world are with the way we show love to one another. It can be messy and it can be beautiful too.”
