Bad Bad Hats – My Heart Your Heart

Bad Bad Hats by Zoe Prinds

Minneapolis’ indie rock heroes Bad Bad Hats announced their brand new self-titled album. Due out April 12 on Don Giovanni Records, the new collection packs the band’s ebullient sweet-and-sour indie pop chops, playful lyricism and signature sense of humor into every bite. While started in 2018, new single “My Heart Your Heart” was able to be completed for the new album after enduring the difficulty of 2020 and coming out the other end with an even deeper love and connection with her partner. Arriving today alongside an official video,

Kerry Alexander shares, “The chorus of this song is actually something I wrote back in January 2018 when we were working on our second album, Lightning Round. I always liked it, but sometimes songs need you to go through years of new inspiration and trial and error before you’re ready to uncover their final form. Thankfully in April of 2021, a chord progression I was working on led me back to it. To have someone tell me, “When I die, I want you to have my CDs” would be the highest honor.”
