CMW is Canada’s answer to SXSW. It includes 3000 acts in all styles of music. The vast majority are Canadian. Every year we look to find new recommendations of artists to see.
 
Cleo T – Cleo T is a French Electro Pop artist who is based in Berlin. 3 years ago she released her debut album, Songs of Gold and Shadow. She is now working on a new album to be released this year. Her live performance is known as Shine and mixes mediums of DJ, pop with performance art and lights. http://www.cleotmusic.com/
 
Eliza & the Delusionals – Eliza Klatt is an Australian artist who is quickly gain traction. She has a high energy pop music that is hard not to follow. https://www.elizaandthedelusionals.com/
 
Elizabeth & the Catapult – Elizabeth Ziman is a NY artist who should be much bigger by now. Her music is an indie rock that mixes clever songwriting with strong hooks. Her latest album is Keepsake. https://www.facebook.com/elizabethandthecatapult
 
Japanese BreakfastPsychopomp is Japanese Breakfast’s debut album. It came out last year and since then Michele Zauner has been on lots of people’s Top Ten Lists. She toured with Eskimeaux this past Fall. https://www.facebook.com/japanesebreakfast/
 
Kolars –  Kolars are a 2 piece rockabilly group with Lauren Brown on drums. They are an interactive and all encompassing band. http://kolarsband.com/
 
Nashlyn – Nashlyn is a dream pop artist from Canada. She is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and performer. She released the song “Dark Moon” in March. https://www.nashlynmusic.com/
 
Paupiere – This 3 piece group is working on their debut full length album for September. The group consists of Pierre-Luc Bégin, visual artist Julia Daigle and actor/ composer Éliane Préfontaine. This French-Canadian group is unique and impressive. https://www.facebook.com/paupieremusic/
 
Tangina Stone – Stone is a US R&B artist releasing her new album Elevate in May. She has garnered attention with plays on US TV. http://www.tanginastone.com/
 
Tara Beier – Beier is a musician and filmmaker with roots in both the US & Canada. Her debut EP is California 1970. The title gives hints to her retro indie rock and folk styling. http://www.tarabeiermusic.com
